This sewing thread is not a standard sewing thread. The polyester component of the thread must ensure durability, while a cotton component must allow the thread to swell, so that the stitching is 100% waterproof.

Features of this sewing thread, thickness 75 polyester/cotton

This thread consists of a polyester core with a cotton sheath. These cotton fibres swell when they come into contact with moisture. Despite the fact that the sewing machine needle has perforated holes, these holes are still pressed shut (provided that the correct needle thickness is used), all this ensures a waterproof stitching. To sum up:

• Rot- and mould resistant
• The cotton fibres swell as soon as they become damp
