Sjippie Convertible & Fabric Cleaner is a powerful, ready-to-use cleaner designed to remove black streaks, resin, and other dirt from tent fabric or the canvas of awnings and canopies. Suitable for nearly all types of tent fabric.
One 5-liter container of Sjippie Convertible & Fabric Cleaner is enough to clean 75 m² and is compatible with all kinds of tent fabric (acrylic or all-season), PVC film, and reinforced PVC.
You don’t need to saturate the fabric—simply mist the product on the surface.
See below for practical instructions and scroll further down for an example of how to clean the canvas of an Isabella awning.
One 5-liter bottle of Sjippie Convertible & Fabric Cleaner is sufficient for cleaning 75 square meters of tent fabric.
This fabric cleaner will not remove mildew or mold (“weathering”) from the fabric.
Spray Sjippie onto the surface and allow it to soak in. Then work it with a brush or the 123 Tent Brush. After cleaning, rinse the fabric thoroughly using a garden hose with spray nozzle.
If running water is not available, we do not recommend using Sjippie, as you won't be able to rinse away the soap residue properly.
Sjippie has an unlimited shelf life if stored frost-free.

Always treat a complete surface (panel, wall, or roof). Do not use it for spot-cleaning small stains such as grease or bird droppings. Note: bird droppings contain acids that can cause localized fading. Leaf mold residue is also non-removable.
Note: Sjippie may affect the existing waterproof coating. For fabrics older than 8 years, waterproofing after cleaning is not guaranteed.
Please read the full instructions below before using the cleaner.
Ensure the fabric is properly tensioned. Pre-wet the fabric with water, then mist a thin, even layer of Sjippie over the surface.
Brush the surface with a clean tent brush. Do not allow the cleaner to dry—keep misting with water to maintain moisture. Let the foam sit briefly. Then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water using a strong spray jet.
If you have time to let the fabric dry, you may apply Fabric Waterproofing DRY after 36 hours.
NOTE: Cleaning your tent while camping is only feasible if you have access to a garden hose. Other rinsing methods are insufficient—therefore, we strongly advise against it under such conditions.
