Usually, you can count on about 4 to 5 cm extra per side if you make a double hem for, for example, the grommets. Furthermore, you also need to take into account your own fabric cutting waste. So, it is wise to order a few extra centimeters for synthetic tent fabric as well!

Are there any alternatives when buying loose tent fabric?

Absolutely! We also stock so-called remnants of tent fabric. These are offcuts: the final metres of a roll of tent fabric. These remnants are therefore loose pieces of fabric, varying in both width and length. You can purchase these remnants of tent fabric in both first-grade and so-called ‘second-grade’ quality: in the latter case, you are buying a remnant of tent fabric that has been classified by the fabric manufacturer as substandard, because a weaving fault or stain has been detected. This does not affect the waterproofing or the functionality of the individual piece of tent fabric in question.
