Various materials. This is a tarpaulin sheet made of reinforced P.V.C.: double-coated polyester, u.v.-resistant, insulating, tear-resistant and of course waterproof. See the specifications of this specific tarpaulin sheet below.
This waterproof cover is much stronger and more durable than an HDPE tarpaulin from the DIY store(which weighs only 100 grams). With four corner reinforcements, thickened edges, metal eyelets every metre (for better tear resistance).

The use of a waterproof tarpaulin sheet

There are many uses for these kind of waterproof covers. These covers are not only placed over objects to protect them from rain and/or dirt. To find the right thick tarpaulin sheet for your application and purpose, we will be happy to advise you. An example: often customers contact us who already have their eye on the waterproof cover, made of heavy PVC. Of course, this tarpaulin is of the very best quality, because its design corresponds to that of a truck tarpaulin. However, it often turns out that the tarpaulin cover cannot be used because of its weight. For example, a PVC tarpaulin measuring 8 x 10 m already weighs about 52 kg. The weight of the tarpaulin sheets can therefore play a major role in the selection. It also comes into play when the object can (or cannot) bear the weight. If, for example, a boat is winterised with a protective tarp, it must be taken into account that the fabric tarpaulin must be spread out. Especially at work, large and heavy PVC tarps can quickly become a mishap/ setback when pulled and used in practice.

A waterproof tarpaulin sheet made of reinforced, heavy PVC

A reinforced PVC tarp is a very high quality and durable covering solution. Why the description 'reinforced PVC canvas sheet'? Because the PVC has a polyester woven fabric as a layer. So actually and technically it is a pvc coated polyester woven fabric. PVC tarpaulins are excellent for covering goods and merchandise on goods trailers or market stalls, but also in many areas as a very durable cover (e.g. in extreme or salty weather conditions).
Our PVC tarp material is coated on one side (facilitates cleaning) and has a very high tear resistance. The material is permanently UV-stable.
We have PVC fabric tarps in some standard sizes available from stock. You will find these at the bottom of this page. The quality PVC protective tarpaulin we offer has a high tear strength, is well coated and u.v.-stable.
