Description

Sjippie impregnating agent for boat covers and awnings

Sjippie impregnating agent is an effective and smart way to restore and maintain water repellency in boat covers, awnings, and sunshades. This treatment penetrates deeply into the fibers and restores water resistance without affecting the texture of the material. It’s ideal for use on boat covers, awnings, parasols, furling sail covers, and more.

IMPORTANT: This product is NOT SUITABLE for pure cotton or polyester/cotton blended fabrics. For those materials, we recommend the impregnating agent by Ultramar, which is also available on our website.

Instructions for use – Sjippie impregnating agent

Only apply at temperatures below 20°C. Always treat a complete surface or panel. For roofs, work from the inside out.
If the fabric is heavily soiled, clean it first with Sjippie Fabric Cleaner—impregnation is less effective on dirty surfaces.
Brush the surface thoroughly with a soft, dry fabric brush before use. Ensure the fabric is completely dry.
After wet cleaning, allow at least 36 hours of drying time before applying Sjippie.
Mist a thin, even layer onto the fabric and treat one panel at a time. Do not saturate the material—two light coats are more effective than one heavy one.

After treatment, the fabric will darken slightly by one shade.
Store the fabric only when fully dry—allow at least 24 hours drying time.
If Sjippie comes into contact with windows, wipe it off immediately with a tissue or soft cloth.

In caravan awnings or tent extensions, the outer surface is usually coated and only accessible from the inside. In this case, mist the product from the inside outward.

It’s best to apply the product outdoors, as Sjippie gives off a strong odor during drying.
Tip: If the seams are leaking, use our seam sealer.
